The CHABAM Program:

CHABAM is The Educational Play Center where Children Have Active Bodies and Minds!

CHABAM is a unique, fun-filled, extra-curricular learning center for children from birth to 8 years old and their families. CHABAM offers an innovative, research-based music, art and movement curriculum like no other facility. A team of multidisciplinary, degreed educators facilitates all CHABAM programming.

The CHABAM Program consists of two innovative segments to enhance the development, creativity and growth of children.

The Creative Curriculum consists of 12-week, progressive weekly classes that "bundle" music, art and movement in each class.

Ready...Set...Grow...! is a high-quality, drop in child development program offering an age appropriate curriculum on an hourly basis.

The CHABAM facility is specially designed by educators as an interactive and educational tool, encouraging creativity and active participation for children. The unique educational play center features an art studio with pottery wheels for little hands, a larger than life interactive tree house, a made-to-explore mezzanine, a one-of-a-kind puppet theater and an 8-foot aquarium filled with South African fish!

  • Baby Sign Language (Infant)

    • Baby Sign Language is a class created for parents/caregivers to interact with their infants/toddlers during fun age-appropriate activities while learning a very valuable communication tool. Sign language enables infants/toddlers to communicate their wants and needs earlier than speech develops in their stages of physical development. This class is designed for children 6-18 months.

    • A 2-hour after school Special Program... Come explore CHABAM's amazing treehouse! Then participate in various art projects, invented science experiments, play board games and have a fantastically fun afternoon.

  • Cool Computers (School Age)

    • CHABAM has teamed up with Funutation Tekademy to bring you programming that will help your kids learn the basic skills needed for working with computers -- learning the keyboard! Using three different programs the kids will practice "feeding" letters to Tux the penguin and even get to create works of art right on the computer, then print out their masterpiece!

  • Dalcroze (Preschool)

    • Dalcroze Eurhythmics returns! Cleveland Music School Settlement brings Dalcroze back to CHABAM! Offered as a 9-month program on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings! The Dalcroze approach teaches an understanding of music through a pathbreaking approach incorporating rhythmic movement, aural training, and physical, vocal, and instrumental improvisation.

  • Dalcroze (Schoolage)

    • Dalcroze Eurhythmics returns! Cleveland Music School Settlement brings Dalcroze back to CHABAM! Offered as a 9-month program on Wednesday afternoons! The Dalcroze approach teaches an understanding of music through a pathbreaking approach incorporating rhythmic movement, aural training, and physical, vocal, and instrumental improvisation.

  • Etiquette for Kids (Schoolage)

    • CHABAM and Manorisms, Inc. are teaming up to offer a two-session seminar that allows kids to learn and practice good manners along side their peers. Topics covered are: how to walk; proper manners at meal time; Proper ways to greet people and many more topics.

  • Hurray For Clay (Preschool)

    • CHABAM's pottery program is one of a kind! Instead of just painting a finished piece of pottery, come to CHABAM and create your very own ceramic piece! This class is designed to show preschoolers the "cause and effect" of pottery. The children will start with a ball of clay, and create pieces such as plates, bowls, animals, clay tiles and anything else you can imagine! The pieces are then glazed by the children and fired in CHABAM's own kilns.

    • Your child is on their way to independence! For the majority of children in the class, this is their first time away from mom or caregiver. CHABAM's teachers will work closely with the caregivers to ensure a smooth transition to independence. Each class will consist of a little music, art and movement!

  • Let's Make Music (Preschool)

    • Come explore CHABAM's authentic instruments and a wide variety of music. Each child will make instruments such as: drums, tambourines, maracas and many more instruments throughout the 12 week class session.

  • Let's Paint (Toddlers)

    • Let's Paint allows children to get messy while having a fun time painting! Let's Paint combines a little bit of music, a little bit of movement and a lot of different painting explorations! If your child likes painting and exploring different painting techniques, this is the class for you!

  • Mess Maker Caregiver (Toddler)

    • For young toddlers (ages 18 mo to 3 yrs) and their caregivers! Children with be introduced to a wide variety of different textures and sensory activities! This class is for the child who loves to get messy and explore new things!

  • Mess Maker Transition to Independence (Toddler)

    • Does your young toddler love to explore? Yes?! Then come to CHABAM to explore cause and effect, a variety of textures and what happens when you mix colors together! CHABAM's teachers will work together with the caregiver to ensure a smooth transition to independence. This class is for children who are not afraid to get their hand's dirty!

  • Minds In Motion 1 Caregiver (Toddler)

    • Your toddler is up and running! Toddlers thrive on your loving encouragement as they begin to discover and create understanding of their world. Twelve, 45 minute sessions. Curriculum changes each 12 week session!

  • Minds In Motion 2 Transition to Independence (Toddler)

    • Music, art and movement and a lot of fun! Designed for the older toddler. Twelve sessions, 45 minutes each. Curriculum changes each 12-week session! Winter session will focus on music and movement!

  • Move & Shake 2 Hours! (Toddler)

    • One of CHABAM's most popular programs! Move, shake and make music during this weekly two-hour program. CHABAM’s degreed education team facilitates a great alternative to other preschool programs and is a great way to build Pre-K readiness. Art, music and movement will engage children weekly, keeping them learning and having fun! The Move & Shake program is designed for children 18 months to 3 years old.

  • Move & Shake 3-Hour (Preschool)

    • One of CHABAM's most popular programs! Move, shake and make music during this weekly program.     • A comprehensive arts-based curriculum designed to support skill development! Follows the state standards and ages and stages assessments for children.

  • Preschool Cooking (Preschool)

    • Does your child love to eat? Does your child love to watch you cook or enjoys being in the kitchen? If so, this is the class for you! Children will be introduced to various cooking techniques and exposed to a variety of foods.

  • Preschool Music (Preschool)

    • Come explore CHABAM's authentic instruments, specialty instruments, and a wide variety of music and genres. Children will create their own instruments, explore how sound is made, and engage themselves in a wide variety of musical activities.

  • Preschool Paint (Preschool)

    • Preschool Paint combines a little bit of music, a little bit of movement and a lot of different painting explorations! Children will explore painting through a variety of techniques and using multiple tools, and will engage in painting on many different textures.

  • Preschool Pottery (Preschool)

    • Does your child love to play and create things with clay? If so, Preschool Pottery is perfect for them! Bring your child to CHABAM to allow them the opportunity to explore wet and dry clay, to create a variety of projects with clay, to glaze their clay, and to have it fired in our own kilns. Children will bring home beautiful keepsakes that they had fun creating.

  • Preschool Program 2 day/3 day (Preschool)

    • The Preschool Program, designed for ages 3 to 5 years old, is a comprehensive arts-based curriculum designed to enhance young children's skill development in a socially interactive and engaging educational environment!

  • Ready, Set, Grow! Drop-In Classes! (Preschool)

    • **Reservations Only** Fun, educational activities for your child at a time that works for you! This unique program is available 5 days per week and can be combined with other classes for up to 4 hours per day. Child capacity is limited for this program as we keep the teacher to child ratio very low. Reservations and calls ahead are RECOMMENDED ahead of time. Cost is $13 per child/hour - $7 each additional (sibling discount). Potty trained NOT required.

This program serves young school-agers, through 7 years of age. Cost is $13 per hour and $7 each additional child (sibling discount).

Cost is $13 per hour for one child and $7 per hour for each additional child (sibling discount).

  • Rockin' Kids (Preschool)

    • This class is designed for the "acitive child!"Rockin' Kids provides children the opportunity to move to the beat of many different genres of music! Music genres include: country, classical, hip hop, oldies and many more types of music. Children will also have the opportunity to go in CHABAM's amazing treehouse!

  • Rockin' Toddlers (Toddler)

    • Jump, dance, and move to the beat of the music! Rockin' Toddlers provides children the opportunity to move to the beat of many different genres of music! Along with dancing, children will also be doing a variety of gross motor activities!

  • Sensational Saturday Nights! (Preschool)

    • A respite for you, dinner and learning for your child. Let CHABAM immerse your children in music, movement, art, and a lot of fun! Come ready to play (pajamas are encouraged). Special rate of $30 for the 3-hour workshop!

  • Starting Point 1 Caregiver (Infant)

    • CHABAM's signature music, art and movement program especially for our youngest learners (aged 6 to 12 months with caregiver). A unique introduction to art, movement and music!

  • Starting Point 2 Caregiver (Toddler)

    • First steps, First words! Starting Point 2 is for walking infants and their caregivers who are ready to explore their world! The ages for this class are 12-17 months. CHABAM offers a safe, enriching environment that encourages your infant to explore their developing skills.

  • Taekwondo (Preschool)

    • This class is a great opportunity for children to be introduced to the Martial Arts. Uniforms are provided and are included in the cost of tuition. All you provide is a child eager to learn!

  • Toddler Too! (Toddlers)

    • The Toddler Too! 6-month program is a comprehensive arts-based curriculum class designed to support skill development in young children (ages 2 to 3 years old).

  • Young Chef's Cooking Adventures (School Age)

    • An innovative concept in children's cooking classes developed to inspire, excite and feed the curiosity of your growing chef. Young chefs will have the opportunity to cook and have fun in the kitchen. They will be introduced to cooking vocabulary and techniques, tools and utensils, basics of etiquette, nutrition, safety, kitchen math and new foods!
